Ads on YouTube

Google announced the gradual release of ads in YouTube shorts around the world.

The announcement was made by the company during its Marketing Live event. Google had been experimenting with ads on YouTube shorts since last year.

The company says that in the next part of this year, advertisers will be able to connect their product feed to their campaign and create their own video ads on YouTube.

These are ads that are run during short-term video and do not even have to change browsers.

Google said in a blog post, the release of ads is an interesting milestone for advertisers and a major step for the creators of YouTube shorts to solve financial problems in a long-term way.

YouTube last year distributed $100 million in creators' funds for shorts. The company says payments have been made to thousands of creators from the fund.

According to the company, more than 40% of creators who received funds from the fund last year did not have content monetize on YouTube.

The company added that YouTube paid more than $30 billion to content makers before November 2020. YouTube shorts are receiving 30 billion views per day. This number of views is four times that of the previous year.
