Image
Twitter the edit option  Social networking and microblogging platform Twitter have started testing the edit option for users. Twitter confirmed the introduction of the Twitter edit button on Thursday, saying that users will see some edited tweets as the company is testing its edit button. In a blog post, the company said that the edit button feature is being tested internally and this month the service will be introduced for users who are paying for subscription. According to the blog post, people who are outside this test group will also be able to see these edited tweets on the platform. If a user has this button appearing, it means that he has also been selected for the trial. Twitter further explained that this feature will be introduced after the trial, but users will have to pay a fee to use it. Twitter said in April this year that the company has been working on the Edit feature for a year and will be available to Twitter Blue subscribers in the coming months.

In a briefing to reporters, the social networking platform also denied claims that nearly 20 percent of all Twitter accounts were fake. The briefing from Twitter came after Elon Musk threatened to end the deal to buy Twitter. He had demanded the company to give them evidence of having less than 5% fake accounts on the plate for otherwise they would terminate the deal. On a conference call, the company reiterated that fake accounts on the platform are less than 5%. Before offering to buy Twitter, Elon Musk described fake accounts as twitter's only disturbing issue. Elon Musk has been a victim of fraudsters several times on Twitter. The fraudsters had tried to cheat Twitter users by copying Elon Musk's account and taking cryptocurrencies as gifts. According to Elon Musk, one way to avoid fraudsters

Twitter Notes

Twitter notes  Social networking platform, Twitter is doing on a new feature after which users will be able to post long written posts on the social media website. Twitter users were waiting a long time for this feature as it is currently not possible for users to write posts of more than 280 characters. According to technology website TechCrunch, the new feature, soon to be introduced, will allow users to draft articles with formatting and media uploading options that can be shared with their followers through tweets. Currently, users use a series of posts to communicate, as 280 characters cannot say long. Many users post a screenshot of long writing scrawled on other applications or sometimes handwritten pictures are shared. Drafting long-style articles directly through Twitter notices will potentially change the use of social media platforms for some users. This feature is currently released to a few users for testing before it is introduced i.e., it is in the stages of BETA testi

Twitterbot A Twitterbot sometimes spelled as ‘Twitter bot’ is a software program that sends out automated posts on Twitter.  Most Twitterbots work simply, sending out tweets periodically or responding to instances of specific phrases in user messages. More sophisticated Twitterbots perform various tasks, such as mining and analysing tweets in real time, for example Social-Bot program, incorporate artificial intelligence AI and sophisticated linguistic software to convincingly replicate human interaction.  Many Twitterbots are specialized for various purposes. Depending on what the particular purpose is, Twitterbots can be useful, informative, annoying, or dangerous just like human tweeters. There are spambots and bots designed to promote products, brands, and political candidates among a vast number of other possibilities. According to Ian Urbina, writing in The New York Times, on average, only 35 percent of the followers of any Twitter account are actual people. The remaining 65 per

Twitter introduced 'Pin to Community Tweets' Feature

Image
Twitter introduced 'Pin to Community Tweets' Feature Twitter introduced a new way to increase the enrollment in the communities. Now the admins of the community will be able to increase the engagement by pining the tweets on top of the tab. Twitter added the option to pin tweets within communities to spark more engagement within groups. Twitter community mode offers a new option of 'pin to community' which will figure out any community tweet at the top end of the feed and that tweet can be used as a notice. This option will help users to bring better enrollment to Twitter communications. Despite limited communications so far, the feature does not seem to be moving away from Twitter, and one reason is that Twitter gives it the right to express its opinion sensing people's views on various practices. But the communities go in the opposite direction and there may be benefits to restricting the conversation. But is it a factor for Twitter, where most users think of sh

Feature to prevent non-standard content from spreading on Twitter

New feature to prevent non-standard content from spreading on Twitter Twitter  started   testing a feature that was meant to tell users not to forget to read an article before re-tweeting it. It helps remind people that sharing something without seeing can help spread rumors. Now this feature is being introduced for everyone. The user will try to re-tweet an article that he has not open on Twitter, so a pop-up text will appear on which the headline does not tell the full story. Then you will be asked if you really want to share it without reading it. According to Twitter, a limited number of people tested the feature, and 40% of the people started to see the articles open after the pop-up session. The company expects that when this feature is available to everyone, people will be encouraged to share information better. The company did not specify whether the feature would reduce sharing fake news, but it is not difficult to imagine that it will encourage people to share quality content
