Twitter organizers have reported that the social media platform is deleting 1 million fake accounts daily in action against fake accounts.

In a briefing to reporters, the social networking platform also denied claims that nearly 20 percent of all Twitter accounts were fake.

The briefing from Twitter came after Elon Musk threatened to end the deal to buy Twitter. He had demanded the company to give them evidence of having less than 5% fake accounts on the plate for otherwise they would terminate the deal.

On a conference call, the company reiterated that fake accounts on the platform are less than 5%.

Before offering to buy Twitter, Elon Musk described fake accounts as twitter's only disturbing issue.

Elon Musk has been a victim of fraudsters several times on Twitter. The fraudsters had tried to cheat Twitter users by copying Elon Musk's account and taking cryptocurrencies as gifts.

According to Elon Musk, one way to avoid fraudsters' accounts is to verify all real humans with verification checks.
