Facebook is cracking down on fake comments made by users on business pages on its platform. The company has also updated its community feedback policy to address this major problem.

While Facebook is already taking steps against insults and more reviews, the new policy has put these principles into words.

Facebook's new guidelines will protect business pages from fake reviews of users written to abuse the facilities offered to satisfy their customers. Pages will also remove reviews that have nothing to do with the business or have inappropriate content.

If a customer or business violates these principles, Facebook says it will remove their comment, block access to product tags and listings of the business and suspend or ban access to any other Meta products or features with it.

Repeated violations could potentially suspend or ban Facebook accounts of those found guilty of it.
