Meta Company has introduced new age recognition options and tools to protect young children, especially from unpleasant online experiences. They will also use artificial intelligence or AI.

Currently, Meta has revealed two ways to find out the age of a person with which users will have to submit proof of their identity online.

'When we find out about 13- to 17-year-old customers, we shorten their scope under appropriate measures, taking care to keep the account private, reduce unnecessary conversations with adults and access to ads,' said Erica Finkel, head of data governance at Meta.

However, the experiment has been released in the United States and will be expanded to other countries later.

Instagram has contacted a company which also confirms the age of online users. Similarly, when users under the age of eighteen upload their video or selfie on Instagram, artificial intelligence-based program will assess age by looking at the facial contours. The process will also include artificial intelligence and deep learning. If the user is under 18 years of age, both companies will automatically remove this image or video.

The second option is that the user will find out the age of three common friends and will be supervised by a person of at least 18 years.
